Bought a turbo setup. Going to run 7psi. It has a 6x9 intercooler. Now should i buy a bigger one, like 6x12. I dont know if it will help with detonation. I figure that the bigger one will cool the air more. Please help.Nate.

Before jumping in...

measure the intake temps.. there is a cut off point on the temp of the intake charge... where it wont matter if u go colder... it will actually be detrimental..

Perhaps u might have to retard ignition.. or increase fueling as opposed to trying to lower the charge temp.

Do some tests....
