My car died on the way 2 work saturday. I am 90% sure it's the 10 day old walbro 255 that craped out on me. I am getting a new 1 shipped to me. I was wondering if anyone has a flatbed or knows anyone that has a flatbed that would wanna help me out. When I get the fuel pump, Apex-R says they will put it in for me the same day I bring my car in, but they wont let me have my car towed there and leave it. So somehow I gotta get my car towed to Apex and they gotta do the fuel pump swap all in 1 day. I can call a tow truck co. and my insurance will cover most of it. Im just not sure how quick a tow truck co. will be.

I usually use tow 4 less... if you set it up before hand, they'll be there at the time specified, and are pretty quick about it. Not too bad for price. I believe $45 to pick and 2.50 per mile. I've used them 3 times.
Just be there to supervise, because the one time I wasn't, I ended up with a scratched up rear door.

Sorry to hear that Ryan.:( I'm sure any reputable towing company will be able to set up a time with you. Maybe your mechanic can recommend one. I hope Kwan isn't charging you too much on the install. If you are at all mechanically inclined you might want to try it yourself. There is a good write up on scooby mods, I used it to install mine about 6 months ago and it wasn't too difficult.

Are you sure you want APEX to touch your car? I will help you install it on Saturday night, Sunday or Monday at no charge. I would hate to see your car come back with more problems than it went in with.

I don't know much about working on cars at all. I have only done a few things my self. And 1/2 a tank of gas swapping out an in tank fuel pump sounds messy, lol. I am not sure how much Apex is gonna charge me yet. Probably the usuall $60 hr. Thanks for the offer Rob. I might take U up on it if Apex or the towing job give me any problems. Hopefully my new fuel pump comes in tomorrow so I can get all this done and have my car back. Thanks for the help and the replys guys.

Fuel pump install is super easy. Hardest part is taking out the seats in the sedan...

Save yourself the shop money. Spend it on strippers or something.... ;)
