Ok so I buy my oil filters online because i like to use the closest to stock filters . I sold my integra gsr a while back and bought my wrx and I have 4 new nippon filters . For the heck of it i checked part numbers but the nippon numbers didnt match...but i checked bosch part numbers and they are the same for the acura and the wrx .... My question is can I use the nippon filters i have as long as they fit ?

What Purolator number does the Nippon cross to? Bosch/Fram says 3593A for Honda, and used to be for Subaru as well, but the backspacing on the plate was wrong for Subarus and they could come off. In the 5 years I put that filter on Subarus where I worked I never had that problem, but you never know. Purolator specs 14459 for Honda, 14460 for Subaru. But then you have a turbo, and I think Subaru changed your OEM part number...
 Filter games are fun!

I've been using the PL14460 without any problems.

Well i changed the oil and the nippon filter fit fine . I will just have to keep an eye on it and make sure it stays tight .
