ChrisL2 07-09-2004, 01:53 PM Signed up also. Should be able to make it.
For those who are interested, be sure to read the experience requirements before signing up.
They're really bugging about people possibly losing control and going into the dirt (heaven forbid!).

Yeah, if that happened you could get your car dirty.

(This is still my best rally-x pic, Thx G.)
I'm gonna wuss out on this one guys, sorry. It's just too damn hot.
It is NOT too hot at 7am (if you want to clean the dust off the course in A group) or 8 or 9. Compare it to when we started at 6 pm.
You're just afraid that Kris' wife'll beat you...
(and long time, no see btw)

OK, there's that too. :o
(and long time, no see btw)
I've been hiding from you. Trying to stay away from your STi. ;)
Of course you're always welcome to drop by my board. So far, only my geeky friends (from highshcool, some 20+ years ago) have stopped by. None of my scooby pals even visit (except for Kris who's been by like twice).
:p
imprezzakc 07-11-2004, 12:50 AM we should all go to F-1 race factory one of these weekends...;)
ChrisL2 07-11-2004, 05:01 PM I haven't auto-x up in phoenix before. Are the lenient with what clothing you can wear (shorts and sandles), or do you have to wear pants, and closed shoes?
And they are normally done by noon, early afternoon?
No open-toe shoes in grid or on course. Shorts are ok.
I don't recall the details for experience, but if you've been running in Tucson, email Steve Eymann (if necessary) to note your experience.
Otherwise, you might have to have somebody else ride along your 1st 2 runs.
The goal of starting so (freakin') early is to be done by noon.
Yes, I am passing on the summer because of the heat as well.
Yeah, if that happened you could get your car dirty.
Or stand it up on 2 wheels. :p
I do hope we can run some events there in the "winter", I like the course. I know they are planning to expand the facility with some add-ons to the course some day, but I wonder if they ever train the police to drive in the dirt... hmmm...

Naw Speedway is better, better track and karts. and cheaper
It was hot...
good turn-out; 2-RS, 4-WRX, 3-STi
Josh didn't get top pax-but frogs didn't fall from the sky afterward..
however he was still easily the fastest of us.
Jay spun, made a mess. Came back and finished mid-pack, but he wasn't driving a subaru, so we don't really care.. ;)
Jeremy Galo (prelude dude) drove a a new guy's (Maurice) car and was just behind Jay.
Greg got a respectable 3rd in ST1.
James tried to imitate the picture of Bud shown earlier and was done for the day.
Ryan got 2nd in STX
Kris got beat by a Wagovan. 'nuff said
I thought I had a good day (improved over my usual pax), but the other 2 had better days.
Newish blood:
Chris L kicked a$$ in NV1-dude, you'd get a better pax if you enter as ESP..
Gene took 1st in NV2
Jason was 1 point out of first in NV3.
Kris' wife Joy did better than I did in my first autox.
I just checked out the results, Clint child was driving the wagovan, that name rings a bell as being a "fast guy" for some reason, I could be wrong though. I also noticed Tages 995 score with an sm pax. Man. Sounds like a good showing and a fun day.
