View Full Version : ECU Reset MRT Performance 12-23-2000, 01:14 AM There is detailed info on how to do it on our web site www.MRTrally.com.au (http://www.MRTrally.com.au) Brett jetfreak 12-23-2000, 01:20 AM http://www.mrtrally.com.au/performance/howresetecu.htm I wonder why this procedure vastly differs from the normal procedure seen here on various other postings? [This message has been edited by jetfreak (edited December 23, 2000).] Otaku64 12-23-2000, 01:41 AM hey, what is the sure shot way to reset the stock ECU. i have heard right and wrong instructions. thanks, salvatore SkToBe 12-23-2000, 01:43 AM I would suggest using the right instructions... Mizen 12-24-2000, 05:31 AM Isn't MRT in Australia...? Is their procedure different becuase they have turbo's over there? I'm waiting for my ECU to be reset now. I follow the method I've seen here and a lot of other places. With cold engine - unplug battery. Wait an hour. Plug battery back in. Start car. Let it warm up for 5 min without touching the gas pedal, and with all accessories off. Turn car off after its warm. Start it up and drive. I done this like 7 or 8 times now and I always notice a difference in my car's feeling after the reset (if feels a lot faster) Mizen 12-24-2000, 05:37 AM here is a link to www.imprezawrx.org (http://www.imprezawrx.org) ; this is where I originally got my RS ECU reset info http://www.imprezawrx.org/faqs/ecu.html edit - the reset info is all the way at the bottom [This message has been edited by Mizen (edited December 24, 2000).] |
