Who has the Cobb Tuning cams already? What do you think about them. I just decided to not get a WRX and NA tune my 99 RS. Cobb seems like the best way to go. Thanks ahead for the info.

Chad... If you set up your mind to keep yours and Trey recommended the same go for it, and get ready for some fun.
First of all, at this point Trey has all my trust, he's been very honest and knowledgeable. My point of view is going to be a little bit unaccurate about only cams, but probably will help.
Beside the improvement on air flow that I got with the heads and throttle body, my car pulls very hard but I think that I can see my cams working when it hits 3800 rpms, man the speedometer starts moving faster(remind me of my GSR when the V-tec kicks in)and keeps going all the way to the rev limiter (need to do something about that).
What I did since I live in Houston and I got some extra money(from heaven),I decided to do heads at the same time with the cams,and throttle body. I knew I was going to get them so saved myself $600 , one more week without my car and two trips to Dallas.

Now down to the numbers:
Official 1/4 mile times from last night compare to before Cobb's job.(I already had Borla headers & catback,pulley and my cai)


Before Cobb's -Best out of 6, on 215/40-18"

15.479 @ 85.12 m/h , R/T: .687 , 60': 2.023


After Cobb's -3 runs, on 205/50-16"

14.774 @ 90.54 m/h , R/T: .724 , 60': 1.965

14.798 @ 89.03 m/h , R/T: .600 , 60': 1.926

14.849 @ 89.46 m/h , R/T: .544 , 60': 1.955


Beat one of the fastest Si in town by 4'( he was catching up on me), and a Celica 2000 w/ intake, exhaust and S-AFC ,by 3 cars length.
Also tested my car with my friend's VR6 w/mods, very similar...

andres i also live in houston and was thinkn about getting these cams i already have larry's intake with amsoil filter and kartboy shifter but what else do you suggest to get along with cams...

..if you can, at least heads and cams. Check your pm..
