I just got my car back from the shop(had a little accident) and was driving the car yesterday, after reseting the engine for larry's cold air intake, and the check engine light went on. I switched back to the stock piping for the intake and instantly the light went off. I put larry's back on and nothing yet. I did do the reset at night in really cold weather well like 35 - 40 (thats cold in houston). What do you think?

oh by the way i was just reading larrys post and i did that same exact thing that night. I was testing my car and red lined in 3rd and accidently shifted to 2nd instead of 4th and bounced rpms off 8000. just for like 1/8 a second though

I had a similar "problem" with the CE light after installing Larry's intake on my 01RS after resetting the computer initially. Then I let the car sit for 2-3hrs (till it cooled down) and disconected the battery over night, and went through the process again. Never had a CE light since. (knock on wood)
Try that. Can't hurt. It could've been a fluke.

Interesting....have Larry's Intake and cat-back system and ce light problems with the addition of the borla header (see current post). Hmmmm?

I've had two different aftermarket intakes on my car. The JC Sports intake, and Larry's intake.

I did an ECU reset after installation of both. I have never had a CE light. It gets very cold here. The other day it was 5 when I started my car in the morning. No CE's...

I've also had the JC Sports Aerospeed "Dump" exhaust on my car - 2.5" cat-back exhaust.

i never did a second reset cause my car is running better than ever (don't want to mess with anything) but no CE light yet
