from what I've heard, it's just a one way check valve on to the vaccuum line going to the map senor. it allows vaccuum to go to the map, but when there is boost (pressure) the check valve stops the pressure from reaching the map

So do you know how to do that then Bender?

From my understanding you need to get a once way check velve. out it one, so the air cann't get to the sensor and then make a litttttttle hole on the part that goes towards the sensor.

am I right?

Keilo - JC SPORTS' Version 2 torque chip can disable that problem that you have. I believe Larry (aka Impreza dot com) has it.

Yes, but how much money are we talking about for JC's chip?

AFAIK the checkvalve mod is only a couple bucks right?

Go to your local pet store. The check valves are used in some part of fish tank air pumps. You might need to get several of them and run them in line because they sometimes will allow pressure through anyway. I have heard of turbo Hondas having as much as ten of them in-line http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smile.gif. In my opinion it gets ridiculous if you run more than one.

I think automotive parts stores sell better quality ones. Ask Shiv where he gets the ones he uses in his kit to prevent the gas fumes from coming into the cabin.
