I just wanted to invite you to join us on our upcoming drive to Arivaca on August 1st. We will be meeting at the ARCO on Valencia and I-10 at 8:00am (leave by 8:15). If we have already left by the time you arrive just head south on I-19 and take the Arivaca Rd exit. The road to Arivaca is very technical and entertaining to say the least. Decreasing radius turns along with rises/dips in many corners are the norm here. It will keep you on your toes for sure. There is a nice little coffee shop just outside the town of Arivaca where you can get a sandwhich and a beverage. You may sign up at Arizona Rides (http://www.arizonarides.com) in the events section. See you on the 1st.

I would go but I blew a hole in my stock intercooler piping today. I need to get an aftermarket one. Don't know how long that will take.

We now return you to your "unhijacked" thread... :)

See you there. Which side is the Arco on NE, SE, SW, NW. How long do you expect the ride to be?

I am new to town, so this will help me as well. I am coming south on Kolb; which way do I turn on Valencia?

ChrisL2

Well, I19 is west of Kolb, so take a right.

As for the length, it will be at least a couple hours. I think it was a 20 minute drive down to the exit, and then the drive is at least another 15-20 minutes. Add in all the other extra time too.

I still don't know if I have to work that day, but it isn't till the afternoon, so I'm planning on being back by 1pm.

If you are traveling South on Kolb you turn right on Valencia. You can't miss the ARCO, just look for all the Subarus :)

The coffee shop at the turn around point has bagels and sandwhiches if you get hungry.

Well, that was an interesting drive.

STiMULi. I saw you stopped in front of another car on I19 on the way back. Did something happen?

STiMULi

No, Not really.

I came up on this lady (about 70) waving at oncoming traffic while standing in the lane. I saw another vehicle was leaving and she looked kind of frantic. I thought there may be trouble.

It turned out she had a flat and she wanted a cell phone to call AAA. I told her I would change it for her rather than wait. I had to keep yelling at her to get out of the road.

After I changed it She asked me what she could do for me. I said nah... nothing. Then I asked her was she registered to vote and she said yes. I told her to vote for W in Nov for me. She laughed. Damned Liberal Old people! :)
