Buy $3 flat head screwdriver at Walmart, heat end up until you can bend it over to 90 degrees(making a hook) grind away any left over screwdriver tip, you want about 1/8''-3/16'' of hook on it. Plus, it has a nice comfy, gripy handle. ~Josh~ SparkysJDMSpeedWagon 12-15-2007, 03:40 PM looks like these guys sell the oem tools for subaru, but i think you have to be a dealer to order from them. maybe you could order through a dealership? http://subaru.spx.com/ STi_Guy04 12-15-2007, 05:14 PM yea man just buy a 90 degree pick.. cky211 12-15-2007, 05:16 PM looks like these guys sell the oem tools for subaru, but i think you have to be a dealer to order from them. maybe you could order through a dealership? http://subaru.spx.com/ They sell to the public Jpizzzle 12-17-2007, 10:17 AM picks dont always work. on my block with 70k or so i had a dealer use the tool, it literally took all this guy had with the slide hammer to pop these things out...works sometimes, not all the time. reddevil 12-17-2007, 10:05 PM Video I made. This is for ej22 and ej25 only though, because the WRX 2.0 has those funky pins.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TR0Ed6qTIVQ cky211 12-18-2007, 01:08 AM picks dont always work. on my block with 70k or so i had a dealer use the tool, it literally took all this guy had with the slide hammer to pop these things out...works sometimes, not all the time. That is what I was told by someone local who rebuilt a subaru motor. He said the special tool with slide hammer was a must. Maybe I will get lucky with my low mile motor. Getting the pins out of both my EJ22t and the EJ25 Phase I motor would have been a gigantic pain without the slide hammer. cky211 12-18-2007, 03:31 PM Video I made.
