What is it about Subaru's and Arizona?
MiniLegs 07-19-2004, 09:02 PM besides meeting you Chris, I haven't heard much about Keith and his reputation. Any write-ups or anything about him and his work? Kastle and Dyno Comp have excellent reputations and I would be curious to see how Arizona Dyno chip measures up...also the pricing thing will be good to know!
Melanie
P.S....how ya doing?;)

horshack 07-20-2004, 04:33 PM ADC Bckground - Come to the grand opening and meet Keith and find out all about it. Keith worked for GM at the proving grounds 5yrs before starting StreetFlight. StreetFlight was a 2wd dyno and couldn't tune the AWD crowd. But the Streetflight 2wd Dyno has tuned thousands of F-bodies and thousands more Ford SVT's, Honda's, Nissan's, Mitsu's and Dodges.

ebeck 07-21-2004, 05:34 PM The Dyjo Jet is REALLY hard on the center diff. And the front diff works like a SOB. DJ relies on center diff to spin rear drum. No torque balancing. All kinds of surges as the center locks up and sends power rear word and loosens up and starts all over again.
Glory runs sure, but 2-4 hour tuning session? I don't know about that.
horshack 07-22-2004, 05:29 PM Where are you getting your data from? How can the DJ be any different then driving your car on the street?
Kingpin 07-22-2004, 07:28 PM We have used countless Dyno's in our cross country tuning escapades. HAve been on the Dyno Jet with several cars for extended periods of time with no problems. Actaully Last trip to NYC we were on a dyno jet and did 20 cars or so. No problems. Is this info possibly coming from rival dyno facilities in the area?
AZScoobie 07-22-2004, 07:39 PM I cant even begin to think about how many hours I have spent on Dynojets. Its thousands... Eric. I am not sure where you got the idea that the DJ was hard on Center diffs but its simply false information. I have tuned so many WRX's and impreza's on the AWD dynojet I have lost count.. Many trips across the country tuning for hours and hours and hours... I think once you run the car on the dynojet you will be much more relaxed about this.. I personally love em and cant wait to get my car on it..

horshack 07-22-2004, 08:58 PM Thanks guys, I wasnt sure where this idea of the DJ being any harder on your car than driving down the street would be.
I can tell you that the DJ is less destructive to your car then making drag passes to collect data for tunning.
Other good news, the fan set up for the dyno is much like a fan for a airboat!
Its HUGE! No worries of not getting that car or FMIC cooled down with 60mph winds blowing through it!
AZScoobie 07-22-2004, 09:01 PM Awsome.. Cant wait to check it out Chris.. Motor is about broken in.. Would love to do some 2 bar C16 pulls on the bottle...

horshack 07-22-2004, 09:19 PM cant wait for that either, you have been teasing me for almost a year now with bottle c16 pulls!
