I ordered wheels and tire from edge. I ordered them on a monday and they arrived friday morning. They were exactly what I expected. They have great prices and all the hardware was included...lugs etc. All I had to do was unbolt the old ones and throw the new ones on. I would definitly recommend using them...

I ordered their ER Bundle back in Aug 2002 and have gotten nothing but compliments on my wheels. They came on time and in perfect condition...I would recommend them as well.

wow I orderd some wheels from them over a month ago. Flik wasps. my CC got billed asap...no wheels, called they said on the way...next week called again with same reply, then again the week after. I left messages ect. no calls back. I call today and they say they will call in an hour to find out what is going on...3 hours go by I call back and again I am told they will call back. they do call back and say oh we don't have thouse wheels and we are refunding you. OMG :furious: what a waste of time and energy for me. and they had the nerve to say "hope you shop here again"

Thanks for posting this. Did they actually tell you that the wheels were on the way and then switch to "we dont have them" ?

Or was it one of those "no inventory tracking on the webstore" debacles?

first they said they were on the way....then when I called again they said they had only one set and it had box burn so I got a discount...then no wheels I called again and they said they were "polishing" the wheels for me. then no wheels again...then after trying to get ahold of them and them saying they shipped them mulitple times and they never gave me a tracking number...I left more messages with no calls back...the last time I get ahold of them they say oh we can't find them in the warehouse so we are refunding you...what a bunch of bs :furious:


oh and I can't find those wheels anyplace...and those are the ones I love..this sucks so much a waste of time with edgeracing(origanal order June 1st...them getting back to me with a questionable answer July 19th) :furious:

i bought some tires from them and had no problem at all. they came in 2 days from florida to ny. i was impressed.

I've used them three times in the last year for Falken's. Their prices including shipping were the lowest shipped to Texas, they always had the tires and sizes I wanted in stock, and the tires arrived within 4 days of ordering each time.

They sent a confirmation email each time after I ordered, but no additional followup communication. I knew that the tires had shipped when they charged my credit card. The tires always arrived 2 days after the charge went through.

In short, not a lot of hand-holding, but they quickly delivered the goods at a fair price. I'll use them again.

I just bought some Toyo Proxes 4s from them. 4 205/50-16s shipped to VA Beach was $350 which dominated everyone else's price. Shipping was through DHL and took one day from FL to VA.

I also have nothing but good things to say about Edge Racing, great prices and customer service. My current winter rims were purchased there, got them for a steal with a set of Yokohama AVS ES100's for a great deal.

I purchased a wheel and tire package from them and overall i had a good experience with them. The rims i ordered were on back order but they called the next day to tell me and offered a full refund if i didnt want to wait. I decided to wait for the rims and they arrived the day that i was told they would. They provided great customer service and i dont think i would hesitate to buy another set of rims from them.

My roommate purchased some Proxes 4s from them. Came within a few days and they even refunded him the shipping costs because DHL delivered them a day late.

Worst customer service. Ever. Same probs as original poster, told wheels would be at my address within a week. Week rolls around, no wheels same story from them. That is if you are willing to wait up to 20 minutes on the phone for someone to answer your inquiry. When my wheels finally did arrive, only three came!! It took another week to get the other wheel. Bottom line is that their prices are decent but not worth putting up with crappy service and shipping.

When the online store says "In stock" - DON'T BELIEVE IT. The rims I wanted were "in stock" on the web store, and I ordered.

I got a call a few days later saying the were backordered. It might take a week or so to get them. They seemed nice enough and hadn't charged my card yet, but I cancelled and went elsewhere (tirerack.com) because it made me suspicious.

Edge racing sent me the wrong wheels, and they have been a huge pita to deal with. I can never get anybody on the phone for help. These wheels have been in my garage for over 1 month now. I am starting to get angry.

I had a great experience with Edge Racing. Ordered a set of wheels and Tires on a Thurs and they arrived Tues. The wheels/tires were well packaged. They also sent a set of Lug Nuts for free. I got an excellent deal and would definitely do business again...

Yes, apparently when they are "on" they're on. However, I am going through quite the ordeal right now with them.

2006-03-01 - Call and order 5Zigen wheels with Hankook RS-2s (Leo). Hankooks aren't in (235/40-17) but should be in tomorrow. Will be sent tracking number when they go out.

2006-03-02 - Call and see if the tires came in and if order will go out. Apparently, tires are still on backorder and may not make it in until next week. So, I call Leo and see what can be done. Leo thinks there's a long term backorder on them since he has no information regarding inbound shipments. I switch over to Azenis 615s in 225/45-17 which he says he has. Will be sent tracking number when they go out.

2006-03-03 - Call and see why I haven't received an updated invoice (with the Azenis) and tracking number. Turns out that the manager is trying to source the Hankooks for me, and if he can't get them will ship the Azenis instead on Monday.

2006-03-06 - Call and see what is going on with the tire selection. Manager couldn't find them, so they will ship the Azenis instead. Will be sent tracking number when they go out. (See a pattern yet?)

2006-03-07 - Call and get tracking number and updated invoice since they weren't sent to me. Got tracking number from Leo, and first copy of updated invoice from "order processing" guy (#3 in the voice menu) and later get a copy from Leo himself. Get told that tracking number may not work until later in the evening.

2006-03-08 - Call because tracking number came up as invalid the previous night and this morning. Turns out that they found some sort of "damage" on one of the wheels, probably cosmetic, and will be sent pictures from the manager of it along with a "good deal" on them. I ask when the pictures will come in, and get told "soon". Call back repeatedly during the day since the pictures never come in and start asking to cancel the order (turns out they charged my card on the 6th for the full amount even though they never shipped). Get told that the pictures "will be there by the end of the day". Pictures never come in and I call credit card company about possible action.

2206-03-09 - Call to cancel order, get told to call back later because computers are "down". Call back later and get told that the credit should show in "3-5 business days" which irritates me even more.

So, here I sit with a wasted week trying to order wheels and tires with a $1,250 bill on my credit card. I will wait until the end of their business day, and if I don't see anything I will call Chase and have them put the transaction in dispute.

I know that tons of people have had fantastic luck with them, but I did not. Many of these days actually comprised of me calling several times to leave messages with Leo and eventually calling the order processing person. Each person was quite nice but they are slow to answer the phone, if at all. The voice mail system is quite humorous when it states that the approximate wait time is "2 minutes", but you wait 20 minutes before someone answers. I did quite a bit of searching in general last night and they seem to have a real "following" on the vwvortex forums. These posts were from 2004, but the experiences are believeable.

So, if you have had problems with them, you're not alone. If you haven't, then fantastic.

They've been running some really good specials lately online on a set of FK 451s so I decided to jump on them but saw a set of 255/35 T1-Ss they had for $120 each!! Called me up the next day: None left, sorry :mad: . Guy offers $100 off on the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx saying that he's got plenty of those left along w/ the FK451s but said the Dunlops are better. Told him I'd research the tire and think about and call the next day. Called, and said yes, put me down for 4. Get a call back 4 hours later and NOPE they're out of them :mad: . So then I asked if he had what I had originally wanted, the FK451s. NOPE :mad: . They just ran out of those too. But hey he said he's got plenty of the Hankooks... :mad:

Fantastic price on a bundle of Enkei RS02s with Toyo Proxes 4. Ordered Tuesday, arrived Friday in perfect condition and well balanced / mounted (free!). I would definitely buy from these guys again.

I ordered some RT-615's from them. Super Fast shipping had them within 2 days. Ive been autocrossing on junk tires for so long these were absolutely fantastic tires.

I got great service. I ordered a set of 5zigen fn01r-c's late thursday night and recieved them early tuesday. Very fast shipping, no hang-ups. I did pay a lot extra for the faster shipping (unfortunately I had to), but these were coming from florida all the way to Oregon and they made it here very quickly. I am impressed. A+

Horrible customer service. For starters, good luck getting them on the phone. Ive been there...its not like they are huge retailers or anything,
I see no reason why it takes literally 25+ mins of hold time to talk to somebody.

I finally got a hold of somebody and the tires I wanted were in stock. I needed them asap and am only 2 area codes north. I requested 2 day shipping for $50 extra to be sure Id have them in time. The sales guy said dont bother with 2 day shipping, I guarantee they will be there in 2-3 days with regular shipping since we are so close. I stressed the fact that I had to have these within 3 days, maybe I should get the express shipping just in case - he said no worries, they'll be there.

They didnt show. Now of course I cannot reach them, and have spent over an hour on hold today (3 calls w/ estimated hold times of 1 min). I will be cancelling the order and buying elsewhere.

Update:

Got a hold of them today, Monday, after 30 minutes. When I was shopping around originally, the website said the tires were in stock. Im old fashioned and like to order on the phone, partly because I dont trust the in stock status of websites. The salesperson checked and informed me they were indeed in stock, ready to ship.

Today, the person I spoke to said the tires were not in stock, and in fact dont know when they might be...but he speculated around a week. I was promised the tires last Friday, and here it is Monday and not only did they not bother to call and inform me it would be a week or more delay but the guy I spoke to didn't give even an insincere apology.

I canceled the order, and am waiting to get refunded still.

They have great prices and previously they were simple to deal with, however I dont appreciate getting jerked around. I will pay a few extra bucks to order from a place that actually cares about their customers.

Update: got refunded today after two emails and a paypal dispute

I ordered last friday.... they billed my on monday and no email with tracking number or any other info. Their policy on the invoice states "allow up to 2 business days for email with tracking number and shipping info." I emailed them asking why I was charged when its states "Stock will be checked, and shippied with billing lastly". Now, I've been charged already and no email or conformation of any sort. It's been a week.

Called today. On hold for about 10 mins. Raul was my assoc. he emailed me the shipping number, that was promised last week, and I ordered two more. He was very apologetic, and helpful. I guess we'll see if he follows through when it comes time to send the other tracking numbers.
