For the past weeks, in traffic I have found that with my a/c on and idle and veeeeery slpw traffic crawl my car sqeeks. I can feel the vibration coming through the clutch and gas pedal when I rest my foot over them. The noise also sounds like a bit of metal on metal.

The car it totally stock engine wise. Does this sound like a familar problem?

Take it to the dealer and have them make sure the system was not overcharged. Does your compressor kick on and off? Sounds wierd, but mine used to make a noise that sounded like the dash was vibrating. It would come and go, but when it did happen it went with the compressor kicking on and off....went to the dealer, took them awhile to make it happen, but they evacuated and recharged the system and it stopped. That was 5k miles ago. Your still under warranty, so go have it checked out

Mine only happened at idle...if it happened while driving, I couldn't hear it. May not be your problem...just a thought

mine will chirp the first time the compressor kicks on, but otherwise it's silent. I still am not very happy with the system - trying to see if the dealers can fix/improve it is almost a game - first time they said it was undercharged, second time it was overcharged, third time it was undercharged again, and the fourth time (at a different dealership) it was (drum roll please) overcharged...

my car was making that squeaking, pulsing sound that i could feel through the floor.

i tightened the A/C belt and used some belt dressing and that fixed the problem.
