The area infront of the rear view mirror has a black grid of something up there. Not sure if that will interfere at all with radar detection, as it says unobstructed views are best. I live in VA and need a creative hidden solution of where to mount my V1. Anyone with some nifty ideas?

The best idea I had was to buy the concealed display kit, mount the V1 on the visor, and fiberglass the secondary display into the little cubby hole next to the cigarette lighter... It is just the right size, and if you remove the extra piece of plastic, you should be able to close the cover for the cubby hole and cigarette lighter, completely hiding the secondary display when parked.

No, I have not done this yet... Just an idea that I plan on doing later on.

There is also a company that sells an aftermarket rearview mirror that has a concealed display built in... It is like $400, and people around you would still be able to see the lights from it.
