hi guys, my friend is looking to buy sti projector headlights but the left side is JDM and the right side is EDM. How would the beam pattern look, would it be pretty funky? Also will just realigning the headlights make the beam pattern pretty nice? I am thinking if the lights were shining on a wall it would look something like \_/ . what do you experts think?

There will be a dead spot in the center with not enough light. There isn't any way to adjust the JDM light to make the pattern "pretty nice".
The only viable option I can think of here, other than not to buy this "combo", is to open the lights up and do the mod to flatten out the beam pattern by filing the internal plates.This would result in two lights with a neutral pattern.

i just thought about it if the left side is like this ------\______ and the right side is like this ______/------- , instead of having the pattern like -----\______/----- , i could raise the right side and lower the left side and have the patter n like this
_______/-------- creating a edm pattern, is this possible?

No, not without modifying the lights internally. The beam pattern of the lights won't change with the adjusters, it will just move up/down or left/right. The beam will still rise to the left or right and have the same cutoff. If you lower the adjustment on the JDM, it will give you less usable light on the road and there will still be some glare for oncoming traffic. There is no easy way around this, the only way to make the pattern flat is to take the light apart.

im not concerned about oncoming traffic b/c they wont be aimed that high, i have d2s bulbs on my stocks and its pretty damn bright but i don't get high beamed, i just found out the difference b/t d2r and d2s and i don't see a shield on mine.

but anyways, this is what i mean the left jdm is like ----\_____ so can i raise the beam to where the ---- part is at the level i want it and then just raise the edm even higher so the ____ ( ____/-------- right edm) overlaps the \______ part on the jdm left side cretaing a ______/---- pattern?

Be concerned about oncoming traffic; unless it's pointed into the ground it will reflect in their eyes. EDM and JDM lights will always send light high to the side to illuminate roadside signs.

Get a set of matching headlights and do it right.
