I've recently had an audio system installed and a set of defi gauges installed. The #5 fuse for the taillights is going as soon as I replace the fuse and turn them on. (using the 10A fuse of course) Last night I unhooked the amps from the battery and the fuse stayed until earlier today. As of now the defi control unit is not plugged in because my oil pressure harness was broken. I'm going to investigate the amp grounds and I need to move the HU ground to the back. Just wondering if anyone has ever had similar problems and knows the/a solution?? Thanks a bunch
Nathan

The wire which provides power to illuminate the guage pod is shorting to ground

Well here we are a year later and today it has finally been fixed. Some parts lazyness other parts noone could find the problem. Turns out the lighting harness had been drilled through during the stereo install. The fuse box for the amp power was mounted above the battery the hole to mount it was carelessly cut. Don't want to think how many hundreds of dollars of 10A fuses I've been through... So if anyone experiences this problem, you know what to check now.......ugh
