Does anyone here besides me have a really tough time doing any kind of heel-and-toe action with the pedals in the impreza? I've got the WRX, but I'd imagine that the pedals in the RS are quite similar.
If people are doing it without trouble I'll just go back and practice. If not, could someone recommend a replacement set of pedals?

An RS, and no trouble, though I'm not sure if it is like your wrx though...

Heel-toe shifting is even easier in my RS than in my dads bmw 3-series. The difficultly does vary depending on what shoes I'm wearing. I think it's most difficult wearing running shoes.

This always comes up: If you're a toe-->heel guy, it works fine. If you're a ball-->side-of-foot guy, Impreza pedal position sucks.
For the latter, just get a gas pedal with an extension and you'll be OK. Pretty much all aftermarket pedals, including STi pedals have the extension.

the pedals in the Outback's are absolutely perfect. i am able to pull heel toe shifts with ease!! but that could just be skills!!

Does anyone know where I could pick up a new set of pedals (like the STi ones)? I checked Subarparts.com but didn't see anything. I could have missed them though...

I've got some Levoc pedals ordered from Napolex in California. I should have them in about 4 or 5 days. I'll do a full write up when I get them. I wanted something similar to the STi pedals, but wasn't crazy about the pink or blue inserts.

I found the STi ones on the Cobb Tuning site. They have just plain silver as well as the colored ones. I think I'll get the blue ones to match the car http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

I have a really tough time rotating my foot up onto the gas pedal when I've already started breaking. I'm thinking that the extra lip on the STi pedals will help that quite a lot.
