What can i do!? Is there a way to control it "easily" or it have to be control only by a "computer" ??

Thanks

The control unit needs to have a Pulse Width Modulated signal, and a way to control the width. To my knowledge, no one has yet made a home built version. I'm told that Rallispec offers a kit with the older style controller (no auto mode) for about $700. GEM also makes a programmable controller for about the same price, but it needs programs created from scratch.

I'm hoping to make my own controller, but I'm still waiting on specs for the factory PWM signal and the diff's load...

Hmm.. I think (I'm really not sure) that the newer ones (Ver7-8) are pulse type but the older ones (Ver 3 to 6) works with voltage....Is it true!?

If i don't plus the DCCD...(For now)

Do you know if the car will be "driveable"??

Several people on the board here (including me) are running with a DCCD trans, but no controller. No problem most of the time. If you're running big power, you will break the rear tires loose more often than you want. With no controler, you are running with an open diff. That means that a spinning tire in the rear can direct all the power to the slipping axle; not the best situation.

I'm hoping to do something before the snow flies or I'm going to have a one wheel wonder...

Oh, I'm pretty sure the earlier DCCD controlers were PWM as well, but they just didn't have the auto function that works in tandem with the ECU.

Aftermarket active differential controller:
- The unit can work either with or without the standard Subaru control unit. If you don't have the original unit then the operation of the diff is the same, but you have no indicator lights on the dash.
- The ECU receives inputs from ... Throttle, Engine Speed, Foot Brake, Hand Brake. No extra sensors are required.
- The unit comes with a 5 position selector switch, which gives 3 possible maps, an OFF position and a Fully Locked, which is useful
on Ice or if you brake a driveshaft. We can supply the software to enable you to remap if you need, although most people find that the maps that come
with the unit work very well - we have done many hours of testing with
different drivers and conditions to achieve the maps.

Price 1200 USD :-)
