Thinking of Rota Actions 17" for winter rims on an STi. Anyone have this setup or know somebody that does? Will they fit? Thanks.

View Full Version : 17" Rota's fit over STi calipers? chewy chunks 07-25-2004, 02:19 PM Thinking of Rota Actions 17" for winter rims on an STi. Anyone have this setup or know somebody that does? Will they fit? Thanks. Rail 07-25-2004, 03:41 PM I think the only current Rotas that will clear the STi calipers are the 17x8 Torque, the Tarmac II, and the SDR. I'm fairly certain that there's not enough clearance on the Action. 66666 07-25-2004, 04:21 PM Wheels that fit the STi....... I admit I saw that thread but by page 5, I was gonna kill someone. I reread it and it looks like somebody used 5mm spacers to get it to work but I don't know how credible the source is. Can anybody confirm this? Is using spacers such a wise idea to use on our cars? suby_dude 07-27-2004, 08:13 AM no on the 17" actions... i got a call about this yesterday.. was that you :) The Rotas that DO fit over the brembos are... Rota Torque (17 x 8) Rota SDR (17 x 7.5) Rota Tarmac II (17 x 7.5) Rota Tarmac II (18 x 7.5) Hope that helps. If you do decide to get spacers... 1. get hubcentric spacers 2. figure out how the minimum width you have to use to have teh actions clear... because at this time i don't know of any STI ownder that has used spacers to make the actions fit. good luck SD chewy chunks 07-27-2004, 09:07 AM no on the 17" actions... i got a call about this yesterday.. was that you :) ;) Thanks for your help |
