I'm looking to order a blow off valve for right around the 250-300 price range and was wondering which of these 2 would come higher recommended or if there is another one in that price range that I should look at. Thanks.

View Full Version : GFB Hybrid Blow Off Valve or HKS SSQV? IDP 07-28-2004, 04:35 PM I'm looking to order a blow off valve for right around the 250-300 price range and was wondering which of these 2 would come higher recommended or if there is another one in that price range that I should look at. Thanks. killermike 07-30-2004, 04:14 PM I've never had a HKS but I heard they sound awesome if you like the chirping sound - you may get a problem with leaking from the HKS. I used to have a GFB and set it on 100% atmospheric - I never ran into major problems but you do get some hesitation when accelerating. When you set it on 50/50 it runs fine but you can barely hear it. I just ordered a WORX Tuning v1.2. This seems to be the best available as it was specifically made for our cars. Another product that would be similar to the WORX as far as reliability and sound is Forge but I've had no experience with them. All the other 100% atmospheric problems may give you problems, so either get one of the two I mentioned above, a 100% recirculation, or stick with the stock. *By the way you may not get many responses here because you posted in the Engine Management Forum. You may want to post it in the 2.0 Thread... |
