Alright, searching was pointless as i found only vague answers, i also searched cobb's forums and not too much info and i don't really feeling like signing up and posting in there forum..

My question: Is it true that the current accessport will not work with the 2005 wrx? I heard a general consensus that it will not due to the new features of the engine imobilizer system. Has anyone dealt with this yet?

I bought an accessport about 2 months ago only to find out it wouldn't work. I was told by cobb that it was due to the immobilizer. They said that it would be a couple of weeks before the 05 port was out. That was 2 months ago. I gave up on waiting an am getting a reflash this weekend

Mine works fine on my '04...what's wrong with yours?

maybe it's the data cable? i heard that there were some recalls on those..

I called cobb and was told that the 2004 WRX accessport will work fine on the 2005 WRX.

THIS DOES NOT REFFER TO THE STI.
2004 STI AccessPort will not work on the 2005 STI, due to the addition of the imobilizer keys.
