View Full Version : 2005 RS Parts? Impreza25 08-02-2004, 01:33 AM where can i find...Headers, Test pipes/racing pipes, short ram intake, exhaust....will any parts formt he WRX and or STi work for me? Impreza2003 08-02-2004, 02:01 AM im sure parts from older models will fit perfectly with the 2005. As far as wrx parts.. most suspension mods will work, exterior parts, axel backs, pullys. most engine parts will not work, nor will a front sway bar or anything which says its made for a turbo (mid pipes etc etc) www.cobbtuning.com is a great site www.boxer4sport.com its got some good stuff - i got my stromung mid pipe from them exhaust, you have many options to play with intake, a lot of people like the cobb cold air headers, borla and some other companies out there from what I hear an amazing mod is cams! elijah25rs 08-02-2004, 03:00 AM Welcome to the board! Please don't forget to read the FAQ's in the General Forum by Unabomber about general performance information to get you started. And don't forget about the trusty search button to help you on the way. Parts designed for 2000+ 2.5RS's should work on the 2005. Good luck. Jason EDIT: Snaps, I just realized that you are running MAF. Don't know how that'll change things up. RS_to_WRX_swap 08-02-2004, 05:03 AM I know you have more cats, try to put on a header/mid pipe from a 2004 2.5RS. I wish I had your AVCS. Kostamojen 08-02-2004, 12:33 PM I know you have more cats, try to put on a header/mid pipe from a 2004 2.5RS. I wish I had your AVCS. Ok, thats alot of mis-information in one sentance!!! 1) The 2005 does not have more cats, unless you have one of the PZEV 2.5's on the Legacy. 2) There is no AVCS on the 2005 motor, just a new redesigned intake manifold and electronic throttle. elijah25rs 08-02-2004, 12:35 PM ^^ Redesign = Better performance? or Cheaper cost? RS_to_WRX_swap 08-02-2004, 08:04 PM Sorry I was under the impresion that all 05 2.5 n/a were pzev. That could be wrong. However i read in autoweek there is or will be the pzev motor in the impreza. I thought it had avcs aswell. Subie Gal 08-02-2004, 08:06 PM http://techworkseng.com/ jamie www.subiegal.com Kostamojen 08-02-2004, 09:16 PM Hmm, I didnt realize the TWE cat section was only $239... Subie Gal 08-03-2004, 11:43 AM TWE = the goodness :D or.. the badness  depending on how you look at it ;) |
