I was wondering what people have paid to get this ECU road tuned. I will probably be going to Rallispec for the tune but i just dont want to pay an enourmous amount of money for something so simple. I think 600 is a little too much just to do a basic road tune.

I've only tuned it myself. I have a Tuna on the way. I've had the Link since it was available.

How do you tune it yourself? This is my first stand alone EMS and it came with the car. Any help would be appreciated.

Being your first ... log the ***** out of it. make sure you know your car. Whats normal noise for you car? what do your egts do when you do this? how does doing this effect your A/F? things you should be looking for.
I follow this if I'm creating a new map or taking on a new base map...
once you are ready to make changes ...
I would start by tuning your startup and idle. This part took me a couple days because tuning for both hot and cold startups, I wanted to make sure it was rock solid.
Then take it for a drive around town. Dont go higher then partial throttle, making sure your transitions from on and off throttle are good. This shouldnt take too long. Remember log everything. Even log what you change and its effect. This will help you learn / remember what each setting does.
After your done doing that, you can then take this projection to WOT and come up with something safe. I will usually start from a roll (low rpms as I can) and just mash the gas taking the car to redline only once.
This process is one I came up with on my own. I know others have different methods for doing a complete tune but I find this works for me.
Since the car came with an ECU I'm guessing its already been tuned somewhat? are you looking for a more refined map? Either way ... information is power and dont get excited. Take it slow and you will be surprised at what you can do.
There is tons of info on this site and lots of people who can help you.
