I just got my car done with mirror tint. They stuff the detailing shop used was called LLUMAR...I think...It cost me about $200 for that and a clear bra...
The dealer wanted about $500 for the same things, so it pays to shop around. I should have some pics up in a few days if you're interested.

Let me know when you've got those pics. I'm thinking of tinting my windows as well.

I heard somewhere that mirror tint is illegal in a lot of states... but then again, the Lexus SUV comes with it stock. *shrugs* Whatever... I'd like to do it as well, but keeping it legal.

That's what i thought - i'd LOVE to have some Safari Rally - style amber reflective tint. I never see it in California, though - I gotta assume it's illegal.

i've got reflective tint on my car. so far 1 year and no tickets or warnings. it's not the mirro type look but it is reflective, not your ordinary black tint.

I have Solar Guard 35% Quantum Tint on all windows with a 20% windshield visor. The pics may be a little grainy but at least you can get an idea. The quantum tint has little reflective qualities at 35% at 20% depending on the car it can look silver but since subarus have a pretty good tint in the glass already from the factory you will get a very mild silver with the 20%. Also Llumar makes tint that is similar to the quantum, while more expensive they are better because they they are completely metalized and have no dies in the film. This makes them superior to previous films because they will not fade and have a lifetime warranty on it.

As far as real mirror tint it is not necessary and can be quite dangerous at night. If you decide to turn your interior light on at night the inside of your car becomes a mirror that you can not see out of which is why it is illegal that and because nobody can see in. Just go with a 5% or 20% for that mirror look and watch out for the cops. I just got a ticket for tint from a state cop the other day and mine is only 35%.
