Yes, that you are. :)
[not even the obligatory e-mail address at the end of the posts...] :D

I'm guessing these are the "shipped" prices.

Curious, didn't see it listed, but do you have a price for a progress front anti-roll bar for an '03 WRX [cost & installation], and what's the cost for an uppipe install [if i bring my own]?

It's ok Jobe. These guys are being nice too, hehe.

Can you put me down for a blue GP MOTO - Turbo Inlet Hose. Can you let Steve know I need to get some rack time in there this next week to put on the studs and bracketry. Thanks.

Are you interested in them? Would you like us to work out a better deal for you? There are plenty of Vendors who will undercut prices to the point where no one makes any money. To some people that doesn't matter, but some of us can't make a living not making money.

Our prices haven't changed, it's just that there are a bunch of vendors out there who don't care if they make any money. If I sold Progress bars shipped at $150 I'd be making $5 if I was lucky. If I factor in the time it takes me to drive to Anaheim and pick them up and my gas, I lose money. Same deal with the endlinks. The profit margins aren't nearly what you guys seem to think they are. We make very little on sales alone. Most of the money I make is on installs.

Maybe if my parents were supporting my shop I'd be able to sell at a loss so I could be cool and hook up my "friends", but I'm actually trying to make a living on this. Sorry for the sour grapes but it takes nearly $20,000 in gross sales a month just to pay the bills here and that doesn't include any cash for me.

It's all good steve I support Aerosim... Steve is the most down to earth shop owner I know... Most people just does what they have to do (some don't do a very good job at that) and get you out of there as fast as they can... But at Aerosim Steve makes you feel like you're at home welcomes you in and chit chats with you while HE does the labor and he will explain what he is doing and answers all your questions... 2 thumbs up for Aerosim.

Awww ... she works 1-7 m/w/f if you want to meet her, but she won't be in tomorrow.

I'll get you a price on the EGT installed tomorrow. Did you find a place to fix your lip? I feel really bad about that. I've been asking around but haven't been able to find any place that can fix it.

Thanks, I really appreciate the support. I try to give everyone a decent deal and still earn a living. It's definitely not the easiest way to make a living but at least I'm my own boss and I can sleep late. Of course, if you buy something from me and I install it, I can always make the deal sweeter.

Yeah, gotta stop answering e-mails and posts late at night, it's making it hard to get to the shop before 4pm. There's a car with a dead tranny on the lift right now and I've gotta move it out so I can get Ryan's car on there and pop in the motor. Let me see how much I can get done tomorrow and maybe Sunday will work.

Why the $50.00 price difference in WRX vs STi spring installation? It's the same labor.

Why the $50.00 price difference in WRX vs STi spring installation? It's the same labor.

No it's not. On the STi you have to disassemble the front struts to install the new bumpstops (because it is an inverted design).

supermarkus
08-24-2004, 03:10 AM
Ah, true, I forgot about the disassembly for the internal bump stops. What's that? Probably 0.5 hrs? Anyhoo I stand corrected. Thanks for the clarification. At least you know it'll be done right, with care.

Aww shucks ....

There's another reason for the $50 difference. The WRX springs go on without need for a spring compressor so I can just lean on them and tighten the nut. The front STi springs won't go on without compressing them and it ends up taking at least 1/2 hour more because of that. I hate spring compressors.

The Perrin Pod fits both 52mm and 60mm gauges. The Defi Link BF series are the same as the STi, in fact Defi makes the STi gauges. Check out this LINK (http://www.defi-shop.com/product/bf/bf_top.html) to their website for some pics.
