He has GAB rev stoke II's. I have them also. They totally rock. KYB makes the shock, but they valve them differently for the impreza coil-over kit. They are 4 way adjustable in the front, and 8 way in the rear, plus height adjustable. Plus you get solid pillow mounts. I run a 1/8" silicon in between the pillow and the shock tower to cut down the vibrations. works great. I also had mine corner weighted. the car is very neutral.

anyway, adrian will tell you the same proly.

Ah! I just got the results from the last auto-x. Adrian won ST with a time of 56 seconds, compared to my sidewall rolling half way down the sidewall runs at 61 seconds (all three). Heh. I think my front tire pressures were at something like 27 psi. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif

Heheheheh.. I was unloading a rolled sidewall on almost every turn, that is way too much fun. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/wink.gif

I guess I don't get it.

Why run such low pressures for 3 runs?

I don't know much about auto-x

Angus: I showed up to the auto-x, ran my street settings with all of my cds, spare tire, etc in the car, and left. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif

My tires happened to be underinflated.

Adrian, I went to Sun in MTV to visit my old co-workers, and I saw your car, still looking good ^_^

Angus,

Yup, same setup as Josh. GAB Rev II. GAB front and rear strut tower bars. I am also using the SPO sway bar in the rear. Corner weighted.

I run a lot of neg. camber in the front. Like 2.5. Probably not so good for your tires, but helps in autocrossing!

Oh, prices... I got the coil-over for about $1450 from Wings corp. The guy Josh and I knew left Wings, so your best bet is Bozz Performance in Fremont.

When I was running with street tires (Yoko A520 215/45 17) I had to run at least 37psi to keep the sidewall from rolling.

I am running less(34psi) now with the A032R's. Their sidewalls are hard as rock!!

adrian

your runnin 34 psi? wow, maybe that is why i am pushing so hard? I am running 39 psi up front 41 back, and I think that is cold. I need to reduce the air a bit inthe next one.

contemplating some backroad testing tonignt.....

More air = less grip. Josh, you should run whatever your sidewall just barely rolls at, plus a little more.
