Hey guys. Just curious, but ever since I got my window broken, I've been debating weather or not to get one of these. The plus being that if anyone touches my car, hopefully I'll know. But I had heard that you can also use it as a turbo timer, but I have no idea about that. If you can, I think I'm sold. Anyone here know about that? Or at least have any good idea's on what route I should take? Thanks guys.

I have the compustar too. However I don't have the turbo timer enabled since there is no need for it. Plus after getting 15/16 mpg really doesn't help the idea of wanting to waste more gas for 2 more minutes after crappy gas milage...lol I go about 260 miles on 15.9 gallons. I'm sure with the turbo timer it would drop to about 240-220. :furious:

hey adam, how come the gas mileage is bad? the accessport? even with mods...i get decent mileage....but i drive to fast sometimes...so i only get like 270-290.....300+ if i put the silencer in the exhaust and keep the rpms under 3000...
compustar is pretty good...id get one of the FM models...i have the spread spectrum one that "code hops" so it takes a few seconds to start the car....even if you are point blank with it....anyways...when people set my alarm off..it pages the controller.....TheShadow has a nice one..i think his has the time and also shows the temp. on his controller...
my 2WSS one is old school now

Gas milage is that bad cause I have a lead foot and probably because I cruise in the gear with boost. Yes, I am that lazy to downshift...lol I like power on demand I guess. More recently I have been driving conservatively though.
I bet I could get 300+ easily if I stayed below 3000 rpms even at cobb stg 1. Haven't really noticed any gas milage difference between stock and stg 1 really. AP also has stg 1/2 economy maps but I have yet to try them. Not really interested in tryin either, even though I cry about gas being so expensive.
As for my compustar it is the latest model. Has all the nice features of the spectrum minus the 50 spectrum channels. Mine only has one. The range is 3/4 of a mile instead of the 1.25 of the spectrum. But who really parks that kind of distance from where they are going? This model also has all the features of the spectrum plus the addition of a clock. It also gives you a countdown from when you started your car. Also, there is a new brain coming out sometime "soon (that is what perfectionist says, but I dont believe them cause that was back in may)" that will tell you what temperature it will be inside your car (good for winter). You could also set an alarm, so to speak, on it, so if you wanted it to start at 7am every morning it would without you having to press the remote. At least that is what I was told at perfectionist. I'll let you guys know when I get it.
