I wanted to know if there's a way to paint the caps of the resevoirs. I wanted to paint them red, but I'm afraid that the engine bay temp would get hot and melt the paint. Has anyone tried to do this?

IMO thats a little ricey...but its your car, the paint shouldnt melt just use high temp enamal based paint.

it's not ricey, stop it you're hurting my feelings, but I'd like the engine bay to match the components it's made of, like the strut bar, the intake hoses are red, so I'd like everything to match, and yellow doesn't go well with white.

On the topic of detailing under the hood....Could anyone suggest, if possible, a good paint for the end brackets of a strut tower brace bar. It's red and I'd like to paint it blue

Would paint caliper deteriorate the plastic? I'm sure it would hold up to the heat temp, but would it melt away the plastic is my concern.

I painted all of my resevoir caps with a metallic blue spray paint. No melting at all and it has been done for six months. Regular spray paint will work. Start with Scotch Bite pads and scuff them up. Put a couple coats of primer on them and paint. They won't heat up enough to hurt the paint.

the fact that the caps were already yellow just saved me some prep and paint time!
