There are no aftermarket ones yet. Beeker 08-25-2004, 04:07 PM ohh ok my friend said i should get one for my STI me not knowing a lot about cars and not seeing any for sale on aftermarket sites made me think they didn't make one at all or yet. thanks for your info Silver-Bolt 08-25-2004, 04:09 PM Since the STi is drive by wire I seriously doubt the aftermarket will have anything soon. Unless you are planning huge power (500whp++) the stock unit flows plenty. sixpack subaru 08-26-2004, 09:44 AM i was looking for throtle bodies for my 04 STI and wasn't able to find any sites that carry any i was wondering if you guys know of a site that i could look at and or order one from. thanks G'Day, I have ALWAYS increased the Diam. of T/Body on Modded Sub Motors as a Pre-Requisite to carrying out any 'serious Mods' on the intake/exhaust), to give you an Example on an Old-Skool S@#t-Barge, I had a guy who would not be Convinced that an EA82 was not the best way to go in His Vortex, (85), but he had already spent that much before I saw him he couldn't 'Chuck it and start again'. He was Running 13.2's Consistantly with Custom Hybrid Turbo, F/Mount 'Cooler, Rising Rate Reg, Variable Resistance Inj's and FULL MOTEC M8. He also had the Full Straight Cut gearset that we sourced from an old 85 RX WRC Car with Exedy Button type Clutch etc etc...... All I did was send the whole car to a mate who does nothing but fuel and flow testing and he machined the T/Body, (until he came through the sides of it!!), then TIGged it up and went some more!! After 45 Mins on the Dyno Re-Mapping, the Thing Pulled a 12.2!!!! If you can get 1 full second over standing 1/4 mile, (400metres), Imagine what could be done for an AVCS Eng!!!!! Speak to someone over there that KNOWS what they are doing, T/Body has 'ported vacuum' and will be a hassle to machine, but well worth it!! PS. This guy 'Turned Down' the Butterfly shaft and Linished the T/Plate THAT MUCH, that when he backed off after his first 'Run' it bent the PLATE!!, he has since fitted a Titianium T/Plate!!) Hope this helps Sixpack Subaru WorxTuning 08-27-2004, 09:27 PM We are currently working on one for the STi, but the tricky part is removing all of the electronics from the T.B. to perform the modifications. We should have something in about a month. You can see our WRX T.B. on our site if you want to see what is done to them. Thanks Mike |
