I've got an omori elect. boost gauge installed in my wrx, and it's been working fine for about 6-7 months. I just installed a Bosal DP and reset the ecu, soon after I noticed that my vac at idle was all the way down around 30 inHG which is dead bottom of gauge, Then at WOT all i get is 10 psi. When the car is off the needle rests at 10 inHG NOT zero like it should. ive checked the T fitting and all hoses are still connected. any ideas?

You had to of changed/moved something to do with the boost hoses.

Did you reconnect the FBC?

no, i didn't. Never even got close to that stuff. The thing is, the car feels like it has full power just that the gauge is off. I would be able to feel 5-6 psi missing right?

Maybe I'll just email J-spec, where I bought the gauge.

I hoped youd be able to feel a 4-5psi lose ;)

So you think its a complete freak thing that the gauge started reading low the same time you put the downpipe in.....?

I think so, I can't think of any other reason it would read so low

Pull the boost guage tubing off. If it's still not reading zero, it's the boost gauge. Possibly just coincident with the DP. The divide area of the Bosal divorced wastegate segment is notorious for sticking problems with the wastegate though but I don't think your symptoms fit with that (low boost but not more vacuum).

Sounds to me like your gauge is not zeroed anymore. Why? Have no clue.
