I have an upgraded wiring harness from www.suvlights.com. I bought my car with Hella 78321 55/100w bulbs installed. I really liked the bulbs, but one just blew and www.rallylights.com informed me that Hella isn't making them anymore. So, now I need some new bulbs. I'm thinking:

1) Hella 78322 80/100w bulbs. I'm afraid these might be too bright on low beams, I don't want to blind traffic and attract cops. About $12
2) Philips Hi-visibility (55/65w?). I hear good things about these bulbs. About $12
3) Other??

I only want a clear white bulb. I'm well aware of the disadvantages of tinted bulbs and how xenon bulbs are typically a marketing trick. So, does anyone have any ideas? Remember, I have an upgraded wiring harness so I can handle additional voltage. Only thing is, I just don't want to be too blinding to oncoming traffic.

EDIT: I've searched on bulbs and headlights, and most people seem to like Hi-visibility. But that's mostly for stock harnesses. I'd like to try Osram Silverstars but those don't come in 9007, near as I can tell.

My buddy is running some NOKYA Arctic whites 80/100w in his 02 Si and the light output is perfect. Slight blue tint in the head lights but the light on the ground is pure white.

I think an 80W bulb may be too bright on lo-beam, like thedieselspeaks said. Here is a site with bright 55W bulbs and details about non-HID lighting. I'm not sure if these come in 9007, though.

Yah, not sure about your questions. Keep in mind that the site I linked to isn't necessarily up to date (I think it's dated 2003). But it has some interesting info nevertheless. Sorry I can't help too much.
