I had to have my exedy HS installed at the dealership unfortunately everyone else was booked up and my mechanic was out. So I payed through the nose but I hoped that the quality would make up for it. I recieved a phone call saying my tranny mount was broken but they installed everything fine. So I get back in my car today and its barely driveable. I have this horrible shudder getting off the line and also if I try to downship it feels like somthing is hitting the underside of the car a loud banging is heard. I imediately ordered in the STI tranny mounts to resolve this issue I hope. What is this awfull noise am I doing damage, the dealership said it was fine but it completely isn't. Will the tranny mount resolve my issue or will the excedy hs feel and sound like this. I have had high end clutches before and they were grabby but driveable. Anyone else have similar issues

Did the dealer break your tranny mounts or did you? If it was not broken before you went in I would say you need to make them pay for the new mounts.

Well it would be hard to tell my clutch ....the stock one was slipping and I had a slight shutter I thought the shudder was due to the slipping ...might not have been though. I already ordered the sti mount I want to know how big a role the mount plays and if it will resolve this. I also want to know is the exedy HS going to be downshiftable or will I have this horrible banging around under my car.
