Hi, I will be visiting Jackson from friday to sunday/monday for a cousins wedding. Just trying to find out what things to do, see... etc etc. I have been told the weather goes from nice to cold... so I am ready for that. Anything else I should expect. I will be with my family so I am not driving, so no car... which is going to be interesting. I haven't spent this much time with my parents for a while now. Any good bars, clubs... it has been years since I was last there, so not sure what the really expect. Also any soccer fields, indoor or outdoor... preferably outdoor and field turf? I have to keep my game up and could use the exercise while I am their. Thanks everyone, peace. ~Erick

Jackson is a pretty small town ~5000 people. Lots of tourist type things around (shopping, Ripley's museum, etc.) There's always various events going on in Jackson. If you have time go check out Grand Teton National Park - really cool.
These sites might help ya out as well:

yeah, i second the suggestion to check out the park. there are lots of fun short hikes and great photo ops. good for your exercise requirements. also a morning or afternoon whitewater rafting trip down the snake can be a hoot (depending on the weather, of course). go with one of the companies there in town.
have a burger at billy's burgers right there on the town square, they are great gutbusters. and you *must* have breakfast at jedidiah's house of sourdough. it is the best around and you will thank me once you go.
also, there is reputed to be some nightlife out in moose at the mangy moose, iirc. while you are out there you can ride the tram up and hike around on top of the mountains for some beautiful views and a teaser of the winter action.
have a great trip. jackson can be touristy, but also a load of fun.

Well thanks... keep them coming. Yeah I know it is touristy, but I am all right with that, seeing as I will be one. I figure it shouldn't be too busy with summer being pretty much over. My cousin is actually going to get married in the park... not sure where but someplace in the actual park. Which I have bene too... but that has been a while too. Again keep them coming... and I will have to check out all the places mentioned so far. Just trying to find a good bar or two to check out... my sisters 21st birthday is thur and she is flying in on friday so I told her I would buy her a drink or two.
peace, ~Erick

Best bet for a bar is to ask a local when you get there.
GTNP is a pretty cool place to get married. A friend got married there 2 years ago, was a lot of fun. Hope the weather is nice. Pictures of the bride & groom at sunset with the Tetons in the background are AMAZING :wow:
