View Full Version : 30% off on all SPT parts at Langston Subaru
LangstonSubaru 09-17-2004, 09:54 AM Offer good from Sept 20 to Oct 31.
Take 30% off all SPT parts that are listed on www.spt.subaru.com or in the SPT performance booklet. I have plenty of booklets on hand, shoot me an email with your address if you want one. I also have an Excel spreadsheet with prices , you can have one for the asking. (I was gonna post it on here, but it's 7 pages long)
If anyone can host it for me, I'll give them free shipping. For everyone else, shipping is a flat 5% of the sale price(not MSRP). Items will be shipped to the lower 48 states only by UPS ground.
SPT items can be ordered by phone, pm or email. I don't plan on changing prices on my webstore, besides, not all the SPT parts are on it. You can speak with anyone in the parts dept. They will all have price lists handy. Just tell them you want to place an SPT/30% discount order. I order twice a week from SOA. I'll ship your order the same day I get it from SOA.
Thanks everybody, Brian
Email is parts@langstonsubaru.com
phone is 724-325-2888

WashUJon 09-26-2004, 11:58 AM Anyone else get the "SPT" exaust?
The exhaust I got was a Bosal exhaust but didn't have the SPT etching and I couldn't get the front muffler hanger connected.
The midpipe fit up ok, it seems, and the rear muffler hangers fit.
EDIT- I JUST noticed while crawling under the car (note that I already have the system installed!) that this is a BROSPEED exhaust!
I know Brospeed is a product line of Bosal but I thought the SPT stuff was stamped with "Bosal". I didn't think "Brospeed" would be on the new SPT/Bosal system. The one sold to me doesn't have the etched "SPT" on the tip. I'd really like an explanation.
EDIT 2 - Looks like I got the 2.5 RS exhaust.
FINAL EDIT - I got the correct exhaust today and I'm mounting up tomorrow. Thanks to Brian for straightening things out.

I believe they can do even better. The Excel spreadsheet a few posts up shows the sideskirts are $182, add the 5% shipping and you come to a grand total of $191.10 for the sideskirts shipped to your door.
AaronWRX 09-29-2004, 05:05 PM nice. thaks for the 411. Now we just need them to come back and take our money.

WashUJon 10-01-2004, 07:23 PM I'm really interested in the SPT midpipe and exhaust for my 01 RS. Anyone have experience with these?
~~Quentin
Actually, I think that's what I mistakenly received. lol
I can tell you that it sounds awesome on my WRX. I'm sure it'd be great for the RS. It's about twice as loud as the OEM system on my WRX but not obnoxiously loud at all. There's no rasp, whine or drone. I can't imagine it'd be anything different on the RS. If anything, it'd probably sound better with the higher displacement engine.

Does anyone know if it fits a 99 RS?
And do we get 10% off the Langstonspeed site?
MyFirstDeuce 10-02-2004, 12:02 PM Can you actually get parts from SOA that are not listed on the site? Does the 30% still apply?

slvr bullet 10-06-2004, 02:54 PM Brian,
I may be interested in ordering some side skirts, one question though. Does subaru make any oem front lips for the 2004 Wagon? I searched around and didn't find any info on them (and didn't see em on any of the spt parts lists) so I would assume that they probably don't =(. Anyhow get back to me if you know, I would be interested in making some purchases despite the current status of my bank account

yaremasi 10-18-2004, 03:55 PM Order an SPT exhaust for my WRX this morning. Brian seems really cool. Hopefully will have by saturday.
hlrex02 10-19-2004, 12:10 PM Anyone know what gains are expected? I'm not looking for increased sound but performance only. Also could this be used with Cobb's stage 2.

csacom 10-20-2004, 10:37 PM Great deal from a nice dealer! I got the SPT Performance Cat-Back for a steal, with some other STI parts to eat up my Subaru bucks. The SPT Exhaust sounds real nice and adds some nice power with the Cobb AP. For the sale price it is hard to beat.
Slads 10-24-2004, 12:19 AM Was just about to order the full spoiler kit for my 02/wrx. Great timing! Now I can justify an exhaust (SPT) as well. Thanks Brian!
Mike
Fijimunkii 10-24-2004, 10:05 PM I'm thinking about picking up the SPT CBE. Is it the single tip or the dual tip (dual tip preferred)? How much would you guys charge for the installation? I wouldn't mind taking the drive down to PA, it would probably be in two weeks.
Also, is the STi hoodscoop painted? And is the STi Key Fob the STi Key?
Slads 10-26-2004, 01:35 AM Just ordered a bunch of goodies. Brian's great to deal with. Can't wait to get my parts!

scottvw13 10-26-2004, 02:31 PM Do the STI floormats have the STI logo, and do the anchor to the floor?
LangstonSubaru 10-26-2004, 02:49 PM No logo, but they do anchor to the plastic clip in the carpet.
elk29n 10-26-2004, 05:37 PM Do you take subaru bucks?
Edit: Never mind saw the answer. :) i would like to order the side skirts for an '02 WRX. Whats the best way Brian?
LangstonSubaru 10-26-2004, 05:40 PM Everyday but Tuesday!
No wait, I take them on Tuesdays too. Just havin' some fun!
elk29n 10-26-2004, 05:51 PM Pm'ed you about sideskirts. Thanks.

The SPT CBE is single tip. Thats a good thing since the dual tip is a straight-through design (LOUD), while the single tip is quieter. For the dual tip, the Stromung is highly recommended.
I ordered the SPT CBE last week so hopefully I can put up a review soon... :D

Okay cool, I wanted a bit more rumble but not loud. I'm going to order it as well, can't wait to hear your review (video please!!).
hlrex02 10-28-2004, 01:57 AM Does anyone know if this exhaust axle back or a true cat-back exhaust? The guy who sold me my WRX said that it is only axle back. I want to possibly add an uppipe and down pipe in the future and wanted a full cat back for this purpose. Any help would be appreciated.
HL
LangstonSubaru 10-28-2004, 10:07 AM HL- I consider it a cat back. It's the muffler and the mid pipe. Starts at the donut ar the end of the downpipe and goes to the rear bumper.
hlrex02 10-28-2004, 02:19 PM Brian, so all I would need to have an equivalent to a turbo back exhaust would be the uppipe and downpipe or would I need to get a mid pipe as well? Sorry for the questions, I'm not really sure about all the sections in the wrx exhaust.
HL
Bankie 10-28-2004, 05:50 PM You'll need a downpipe and midpipe in order to complete a full turbo-back. Most people like to leave the midpipe to avoid the "no-cats" smell.
joe r 10-29-2004, 01:26 AM Brian you rock man,My SPT catback will be at my door on the 4th,yaaaaaa.

Bankie 10-30-2004, 12:09 PM If any of you have been procastinating with your parts order you'll want to order soon. Even though the sale is good until tomorrow, Langston isn't open. I just ordered side skirts and was told that they usually leave on 1pm on Saturdays.
Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! :D
