i was putting my new s-techs on when i realized that i couldn't loosen the the lower bolt that connects the strut to the frame. there are two main bolts and the lower one is the one i seem to be having a problem with. I didnt want to take it to a shop because i wanted to save me money by doing myself. is there anyone that has had the same problem? is there anybody that can give me any advice on what to do? thanks for your help.

good luck, dude. it's a pain to get out. try wd40, breaker bars, air tools, whatever you need. theres no real trick to it. just gotta get it out.

I just did mine today, KYB AGX's and Eibach springs. We used an impact wrench. Took it right off. The one we used was an air tool but I also have an electric one and it would do the trick to. The electric ones aren't to expensive, if you don't want to buy one you might be able to rent one. If your close to Sunnyvale I might be able to help you out.

impact wrench. If you need help, and can still put the car back to it's drivable form, roll by my place and i'll help out.

if the car is on jack stands, try using the jack to lift the strut. Put the jack directly under the strut(bottom) and compress it, this might make the bolt easier the losen. Use wd40, and a breaker bar.

Get a long pipe like 4 feet long , stick the breaker bar in side the pipe.
