i have the blitz sus and this K&N looks really nice. anyone use it before? im wondering if you can still use a fmic since it looks like the pipes would hit the heat shield

It all depends on the front mount but most require a short ram. CAI’S don’t work well with STI’S. That is why most performance corporations recommend a short ram setup.

The CAI for the car comes with a complete kit, meaning that if you were to put a fmic on the car you can make the intake a shortram without having to bu nething else. But yes it is almost pointless to have a CAI on an sti unless u live where it is really cold because otherwise the hot air stays in the fender feeding hot air into the intake.

Go for the K&N baffled short ram it's pretty sweet. You get the best of both worlds. I used a little extra heat barrier on the inside of the baffle and it's even cooler.

I know you live somewhere around me let me know if you want to see it.

he has a FMIC so he can't use the new Typhoon baffled kit. He's talking about the old typhoon that is modular.
