installed accessport yesterday and got out and drove it like i stole it today. the factory boost gauge read arount 11 and accessport showed 18 at the same time. i'm not sure the factory gauge ever worked properly. i am at 900 feet above sea level and i am running stage 1/93 octane.

(1) should i update to a wier range boost gauge?
(2) should i be worried about the 18 psi?
(3) does a stock sti get close to 15 on the boost gauge? if so, it never worked properly from the factory.

i didn't get any codes and it runs like a scalded dog. i went by my wife in her boxster s like she was sitting still. :p

on my stock boost gauge i was able to hit just over .1 MPa which is around 15 psi. since then ive changed my gauge to a Defi d-gauge (reads in psi) but havent had the chance to see were it hits yet. the rest im not sure.

The stock boost gauge reads in MPa, not PSI. so that 11 you're reading is .11 MPa not 11 PSI. I'm not up on my conversions, but if .10 is about 15 PSI then you've got to be in the 16-17 PSI range on that meter after conversion, which is closer to the accessport than you think.
