I saw a thread last week where a guy posted pix of his wagon with 17X8 torques mounted. Now I cant find the thread.

Just wondering what would be required to make the 8" wheel fit a wagon.

TIA

I'll post up a pic of my 245/45 with 17x8 , very aggressive, but I haven't fully tested them out yet.

Yeah I'd like to see this too. I was told it wouldn't work. I was thinking maybe if you have coil overs and the fenders rolled that maybe there would be more clearence. I just went with the 7.5 torques for my wagon and they are just fine.

HiVoltg12,

You may have see that some where in the wagon thread but the guy never responded back about his set up. He posted a photo of a silver (I think) wagon doing some auto-x and said something about 8" torque's.

I think it was an autocrossing rules thread or something!

245's on a wagon- very tough. 225's on 8" maybe. Remember sitting in one's driveway w/ a certian wheel/tire combo, doesn't correlate into a combo fitting. Thrashing through a autox course or track day w/o any rubbing would.

I'm going to try a 8" rim on 225/50/16's (maybe 2225/45/16's) next season- fender rolling will likley be necessary.

Yeah, that's Mako's setup. Lessee, he's on the new TEIN Flex's, STi trailing arms, Whiteline adjustable lateral links, Hotchkis bars F/R, rear fenders rolled, Rev Lab rack, Whiteline steering rack bushings, STi control arm bushings, F/R strut tower bars, Rotora front BBK. I think that's about it suspension wise. current pic is in the Wagon forum. You can search in the Motorsport forum for him. Lots of posts there.

17X8 with 245/35 is the STX setup it would seem now. Wagons and Sedans. Wagons need a 5mm spacer in the rear though. Those who are running it on wagons include KC and MNBiker
