I want to test drive one, and heard that albany subaru doesn't have a lot of WRXs in stock so I went down to the downtown oakland subaru dealer on Broadway. They had three on the lot. Ugh- the sales guy wouldn't let me test drive a WRX, unless I was serious about buying one, yada yada... Told him I wasn't gonna buy one until next year, and I just wanted to test drive a WRX... and of course I could have lied about wanting to buy one on the spot, but hey, I just wanted to try one out. No test drive. I understand them not wanting a lot of hard miles on a 'new' car, but they should at least have a demo. Or did they think I was gonna drive it like I stole it? Never ever ran into this before... Any other dealers to try?

Albany subaru called me today regarding an available Silver 5 speed wagon that fell thru on a pre order, so they said they have it availbable for sale and test drive.

call those bastards up and get your test drive.
