Anyone know if you can log data and auto tune at the same time?

Did a few pulls on the way home tonight with both enabled and compared the before and after maps and it did not make any changes to the map.

You have to save changes for them to be seen. Phil just posted the most complete description of this on his website today. I believe you have to "upload" changes made by Autotune from the ECU prior to shutting off the car. You can make additional changes, but they must be downloaded (transferred) back to the ECU.

Also, are you sure autotune is truly running--turn on "closed loop" and "autotune". You need to also turn off "long-term learning.

Logging and Autotune are separate functions, so I don't see a conflict.

I've done all the necessary steps and have had it work fine before. I'd just never tried to do it with the log on.

Perhaps I missed a step. Wish there was some visual feed back on the main tuning screen to let you know auto tune was running.

I have run both the AutoTune and the data logger at the same time and the system was active. I could see the AFR change from the previous log to the new one. With that said, try it again as you may have made a mistake somewhere. You also may need to turn the AutoTune rate up.

I figured out what was going wrong. Apparently at some point I had saved a map to the ECU that did not have auto tune unlocked. Once I had re-entered my code and saved the map BINGO autotune is working again. :banana:

Does it really work ? I mean how is the car with the auto-tune feature enabled ?

Auto tuning works great. A few pulls and the maps really close to the target AFR.

I'm still not tuning for real power yet, just getting the map close and focusing on driveability. I'm very pleased so far. I've been too busy learning all the software and tweaking stuff to post any results yet. This stuff is fun. :cool:
