I would say where but you never know who is watching to see where you park your car. Damn theives. I live in ny now but iam brining my car. Im gonna need to meet up with some local subuie heads. Davenow 09-29-2004, 07:38 PM Yeah hit up Mastro, give Nino a shout, and Hook up with the jacksonville mod squad. speedyralph 09-29-2004, 09:06 PM Yeah hit up Mastro, give Nino a shout, and Hook up with the jacksonville mod squad. Nino will be in Ft. Myers next week. Mastro is in Tampa. Now I have to decide what to do. By the way, nothing has to do with Jacksonville. Jacksonville is way north pole of Florida. :disco: WorldOne 09-29-2004, 11:00 PM You might want to check out Sam at Costal Dyno. He is a great guy www.costaldyno.com and would be worth looking up. STiTuner 09-29-2004, 11:43 PM make the tuning worth your money. take it up to Central Florida Turbo and have rolo tune it for you. Brad speedyralph 09-30-2004, 03:13 AM You might want to check out Sam at Costal Dyno. He is a great guy www.costaldyno.com and would be worth looking up. Link doesn't work. UglyStick 09-30-2004, 09:25 PM I just emailed CFT about getting a tune, possibly. Unfortunately, I'm using the Cobb AP ( ) right now and would have to get some other form of engine mgmt. I'm stock turbo/intercooler/fuel system/etc right now. Just Cobb Stg 2 (accessport) with TBE & UP. Would need to ditch the AP for somes engine mgmt they can tune for. Any suggestions, considering my setup now? bboy 10-01-2004, 12:38 AM OK, I have another suggestion, but it's not a Subaru outfit. Southern Florida is a desert for Subarus. You are lucky if you see one a week. OK, there is a place in South Miami right off of the Dixie called Active Autowerkes. They are not as well known as Dinan or Turner in the BMW world, but they are awesome tuners. I went to their shop just to talk to them and check the place out. (My sister is in Miami). http://www.activeautowerke.com/main.cfm They don't know Suby's directly, but they know cars like almost nobody else. PM me and I can tell you exactly where it is, but Mapquest will do the same. STiTuner 10-01-2004, 12:46 AM I just emailed CFT about getting a tune, possibly. AEM or Microtec. microtec is CHEAP and does a LOT for the price. for a regular WRX its more than enough. Sergio runs one on his personal car and theyve seem some amazing numbers at the track from his setup. Brad rich728 10-01-2004, 12:59 AM my opinion, go out of state. not too many tuners in South Florida that familiar with Subaru's. I'm sure there are people who can install parts but custom tuning is another story. FYI the nearest Dyno Dynamics 4WD is in GA @ Dyno4mance. Ive been there...in fact im there now!! speedyralph 10-01-2004, 03:43 AM [QUOTE=rich728]not too many tuners in South Florida that familiar with Subaru's. Even when AccessTuner comes out, I don't think it will give you much control. Looks like you have a few EcuTek and UTEC tuners there, and to me the best EM route is the Element Hydra (www.elementtuning.com) and anyone who can tune EcuTek or Utec could tune with the Hydra--with ease. You could tune the car yourself with a little reading and slow deliberate changes that don't upset the knock too "explosively". :D UglyStick 10-01-2004, 07:15 PM microtec is CHEAP and does a LOT for the price. for a regular WRX its more than enough. How cheap are we talking? There isn't much info on their site regarding prices for the various engine management options. They seem to feature MicroTec, though. I'm going to call them Monday when I'm back in town and hopefully get all of my questions answered. I've got a buyer lined up for my Cobb AP already, so I'm set to go another route real soon. STiTuner 10-01-2004, 10:00 PM the microtec shouldn't cost you much more than a UTEC, if it in fact does cost more than a UTEC. figure about $1000, mostly likely LESS. But I don't sell them, so I'm not 100% on the exact price. thanks Brad speedyralph 10-02-2004, 05:05 AM www.mastrowrx.com - Standard Upgrades plus ECUtek tuning, Dynapak Dyno, Located in Tampa, ask for Kyle or Bill. www.coastaldyno.com - Standard Upgrades plus Utec tuning and NOS application knowledge. I'm looking for a good Utec tuner in this area. speedyralph 10-24-2004, 04:56 PM Did you ever get you STi tuned? If so, where did you go? I'm looking for a good Utec tuner in this area. Actually, I haven't done any engine mods yet, I decided to mod my handling first f/r sway bars, h brace, f/r strut braces, prodrive springs w/group n strut top mounts, totalled to $1050. I should start getting these parts by next week. Ralph VideoGameWrx 10-31-2004, 12:38 PM Does anybody know of some good exhuast/muffler shops in FL? I want to get a custom open downpipe job because the QTP one is 600 dollars.... MikalsWRX 02-13-2005, 12:03 PM Unfortunatley Mastro doesnt do the ECUTEK anymore as of this past friday. They say it just wasnt worth it to them  Oh well. Mikal vteckiller01 02-13-2005, 04:56 PM I need an ecutek reflash so bad. I just moved to delray beach from Ny and my car is running like s%it.Such a radical temperture change. Is there anybody within reasonable distance from here that can tune ecutek??? ESEMES 02-13-2005, 06:26 PM booked vteckiller01 02-14-2005, 05:31 PM anyone???? rich728 02-15-2005, 09:21 AM Dyno4mance in GA a nice 12 hour hike Vishnu will have a dyno day there in a month or so link (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=703164) mantra1 02-15-2005, 05:33 PM I need an ecutek reflash so bad. I just moved to delray beach from Ny and my car is running like s%it.Such a radical temperture change. Is there anybody within reasonable distance from here that can tune ecutek??? You'll have to go to Mastro (Tampa) to have the ECUTek reflashed. That's the closest shop around. hippy 02-15-2005, 10:03 PM From what I've heard, mastro no longer tunes ecuteks. You could send the ecutek away to where you got it, and they can hopefully tune it for your mods without seeing the car. peace monopoly 02-15-2005, 10:33 PM I think Mastro STILL does reflashing IF you already have the EcuTEK. It is my understanding that they will no longer do the initital OEM to EcuTEK Flash! This thread does lead to a wide opening and distance one has to travel to get EcuTEK in the SE. EcuTEK should open up the market in the SE or loose to other EM. just my 2cents! |
