Just got my Accessport this weekend and completed the flashing and it's AWESOME. Driveability is up 100% - much more responsive and drives much smoother.
Is there any way to check which map version I'm running? I'm pretty sure it's the 1.17 version but I want to be sure. I downloaded the maps from my AP to my computer and checked everywhere to see what version it was, but couldn't find it. I checked under map "properties" and all it said under the description was "Stage 1 93 Oct".
I purchased the unit on 9/25/04 so there is a chance that it could be the 1.18 version, right? I called Cobb, but they are closed on the weekend.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
AP ROCKS! :disco:

As far as I know the latest is 1.20
You can download it from Cobb's and pop it in to be sure your updated

The latest version for Stage 1 is 1.18, not 1.20.
The version # is not stored anywhere in the file. You can do a binary file compare of the map you downloaded from your Accessport to the latest map on Cobb's site. If there are only a few differences toward the beginning of the file, then you have the latest version. If there are differences throughout, then you have an older version.

You're better off just downloading the latest version and installing it into the accessport before loading it into the ecu. Using the program, you can view a detailed description of the map (which I saw you did), but it doesn't have the version number in it. I don't know why, Cobb should have put the version number in the description, are you listening Cobb, I believe that would be a good idea. The only advice I can give is to edit the description with the version number yourself, so you can check it anytime to see what version it is. That is what I did when I downloaded the maps.

Thanks for the info guys. When I downloaded the maps, I just name them to include the version.
I agree that Cobb should put the version number in the description. Would be very helpful.
Can't wait till after work so I can reflash.

Yeah, that would work too, but will it show up as what you renamed it in the accessport program on the computer or just with the map name. And then will it show the version number on the accessport. Let me know because I am getting mine this week. Can't wait.

In the program, it will show up as just the map name and not what you named it (i.e. you will see "Stage 1 93 oct" in the program regardless of what you saved the file as).
DLing the maps take no time at all even with dialup.
You are going to love it.
