Hey,

I have a 2005 STi that I did the headlight clearing mod on, and it was working fine for 2 weeks - I washed my car today and after I finished - the left (driver's side) HID light wouldn't ignite or turn on. I noticed some moisture in the small amber blinker on the far outside corner, but it was gone within a few minutes of the light being on.

Am I guessing right that water got into the HID system somehow, into one of the plugs, and caused a short in the system? Should I be looking at the fuse box? Check the plugs for water in them causing a short?

What should I do before I take it to the dealer and have them take a look at it? (i won't be trying to warranty it)
