View Full Version : Not want, NEED local rims!!!

Ok, maybe it's a want, but I have a little moneys and I can't look at my stock rims anymore.

Dan changed his mind about selling the Enkei's (which was wise, IMNSHO), and I'm stuck looking around the country for used rims. I'm looking at pretty much all colors/sizes/styles, but my faves so far are the Rota Subzero. Also: I love GOOOOLD!

I'm looking for a used, slightly thrashed/scratched (to match my paint) set of rims/tires for around 500-750. I'd trade my stock wheels/tires for $175 or I can sell them on eBay.

I've found many in this price range on eBay and here on the sock, but DUH, I'd prefer local. If you or someone you love has any 17's or 18's laying around, lemme know.

Thanks,
Hays (Brandon3)

Dude, you can buy a set of brand new Rota Subzeros for like $600 shipped. Why would you want busted up ones for the same price? I've bought from Suby Dude a few times, he is top notch.

It's all about the tires. I hadn't seen that before, but if I spend $600 on rims I'd need to spend at least another few hundred on tires. I have an offer on some pretty nice looking 18-inch Bronze SubZeros with tires (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=623525) for a pretty good price, and they seem to be in good shape. I seriously want rims that aren't so nice that they're going to attract attention and get ripped off. I've been through that already, it sucks.

Thanks for the link though, I had no idea they were that inexpensive.

Gold Formels (Kirill's 1st link) or any color Subzero is my favorite. I haven't formally offered to buy this guy's wheels, if anyone knows where to get inexpensive tires to wrap around these beautiful rims...

TireRack.com is your friend....

go to tirerack and buy some tires of there...about $30-$40 cheaper PER TIRE then a local shop....and they kick major @$$. used them myself a couple of times, and loved it...

Call Brandon (yes, another one  ) at Wasatch Wheel Werks in the Sandy automall for tires. 553-5615. Tell him "Erik with the Maxima and WRX" referred you. I don't know if I have much pull, but I've bought a couple thousand dollars worth of stuff from him. He will take care of you and at least match tirerack I'm sure... I'd recommend Falken 512's or Sumitomo HTR+'s for cheap/decent tires.

Pm'ed you Johnnytran.

Erik: There are just too too many Brandons out there. It's weird, growing up I was the only one I had ever heard of (excluding the dog from Punky Brewster)...

bbs rims for 250????
Don't get too excited, that will never happen again anywhere EVER.
Who bought those anyway, Dan?

Nice try. I'll be selling for $250 on eBay, or maybe $200 locally if I don't feel like hassling with trying to sell there. That's the only reason my wife is letting me buy rims.
