Harman Motive is proud to announce that we are an ECUTEK reflash and dyno tuning facility.

Reflashes are available for all models and all levels of modification. We offer custom dyno-tuned programming for the following vehicles.

- Impreza WRX MY2002-2005
- Impreza STI MY2004-2005
- Forester XT MY2004-2005
- Legacy GT MY2005

Reflashed ECUs are now available with USER TUNABLE FEATURES. These new features allow the car owner to adjust parameters such as rev limit, fuelling, ignition timing and boost pressure. Great for when you're headed for the track (high octane fuel) or leaving the car with a valet (lower rev limit, boost).

All programming is performed via the OBDII diagnostic port on your vehicle. Switchable maps are available for 2002-2003 WRX models.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

Dan

what are the prices for the reflashes? Do price include road or dyno tuning?

Well this makes my Engine Management decision a lot harder...

1) do you offer these features for any of the STi's?
2) in what manner is the user able to tune? (extra piece of hardware?)

We will be offering special pricing until SEMA. After Sema, prices will go up.

Subaru WRX (2002-2005) - $650 flashed or $800 dyno tuned

Subaru STI/Forester/Legacy - $799 flashed or $950 dyno tuned

We will be tuning already licenced ECUs for $200/hr on the dyno with no other fees.

Dan

Yes, STIs are supported.

The user is able to tune with Delta Dash software. Delta Dash is a code reading/data logging software made by ECUTEK. No extra hardware is required.

For example, here is our STI Stage II ECUTEK map. This is available off the shelf or custom dyno tuned.

2004 STI
91 Octane
Helix Downpipe
Espelir Catback

EVERYTHING ELSE STOCK

Red is after tuning, blue is stock baseline.

OK, this may be a n00b question but...

Will an Ecutek reflash give me grief when it's time to start going in for smog checks? (such as having to reflash back to stock or needing to swap with a stock ECU when getting tested) I plan on keeping my engine mostly stock (except maybe for a catless STi OEM uppipe eventually) and i just want something that i won't have to worry about later down the line. :)

Since the ECUTEK software maintains 100% factory control of all emissions systems and closed loop fueling, there is no effect on tested emissions (unless we change those perameters - only on highly modified cars).

Is that RED tuning chart/graph with a custom tune or base map reflash?

Do you have any dyno charts of a WRX tune with base map?

Thanks

have you had any fitment / leakage issues mating the Helix DP to the stock Sti midpipe?

Does that mean I can change maps with my own laptop in my own garage?

Does that mean I can change maps with my own laptop in my own garage? You can only change certain parameters (max boost, rev limit, etc.) with the DeltaDash software. To actually change maps, an authorized Ecutek tuner must do the tuning - but once your ECU has a license on it, you normally just pay hourly for more tuning (if you change parts on your car, etc.).

Drews_WRX: The red line is on a dyno tuned vehicle. With an off the shelf map, results vary. That car put down 275/298 on its first run (using our standard map) - still an impressive gain.

ChrisF: Helix Downpipe will not work w/ a stock STI midpipe (there is no donut gasket on the Helix). You would have to use a PDE downpipe which has the proper donut gasket adapter. The PDE also works with non-donut gasket catbacks.

ezparts: You can change boost maps using your laptop or by flooring your car and pushing the defrost button. When we custom tune your car, we can manipulate the map so that the high boost map actually runs different AFR and timing vs. your regular map (thus giving you a truly optimized race map). You can also use the high boost map for valet (low boost map really) or as a slightly more agressive street map.

With the deltadash user tune, you can directly modify your fueling, timing, boost, etc. This would allow you to tune your ecu further for high octane fuels if you desired.

So it looks like your standard mapping is pretty good as far as HP is concerned. But with the extra dyno tune, you picked up ~20 more torque.

Thanks
