ok, So I decided my next mod will be new wheels and tires. I wanna set my car apart. I currently have an 04 wrx with stock 16" 205/55/16 wheels sitting on stock suspension. I wanna know what the most ideal upgrade size would be. I was thinking 235/45/17 on 17x7.5 rims or 225/45/17 on 17x7 or 17x7.5 rims. offset would probably be +50 for the 7 " and +48 for the 7.5". I will be running stock suspension for a while. Eventually I would like to drop the car with the eibach prokit. I am not looking to sit on the ground. Will those sizes work with either suspension setup without rubbing or rolling the fenders? Thanks.

i guess it all depends, no two cars are exactly the same. i know subydude has coilovers, and has had to roll the rear fenders so he can fit in his 245 rubber on his 8 inch wide wheel.

in terms of what size tire for different widths, i believe most companis usually list a recommended wheel width.
for me, though, id go at most 225/45/17 with 7.5 inch wide wheel... but that doesnt mean you can't fit anything wider.

I had 235/45/17 bfg tires on 17x7.5" 48ET wheels on my 02 wrx. The car was lowered using eibach pro kit and I had no clearance issues. No rubbing or anything even with 5 ppl in the car.
