Well guys I have made another job switch and will be moving back to Continental by the end of the month. So now when you need something from the dealer you can drop you car off with Getagrip and have 00Maddog work on you car. lol :D

"nope no mods here either" :p

Good deal, Maddog. I hope it is a positive transition. How many techs does a shop the size of Continental have?

9-10 guys in subaru service.

I can get decent prices on stuff, but can't use my discount for others, sorry. Subaru doesn't really have that much stuff you want anyway, right:; If our accessory book looked like japans it'd be a different story. Most of the time my cost is internet price anyway, lower 48 stores are way competitive. For instance My sti key cost me 25, which I could have ordered it for from several places. Not as convienent though!

Napa on dowling is your best bet for that, and even though I get a great deal on napa parts (agen's is a napa auto care shop) most of the cost is labor for mixing and filling the can which doesn't change so you might as well buy it yourself.

BTW a good deal of color matching has to do with the application. I.E. pressure, distance, temp, undercoat, etc.

Congats!

Seems that at a dinner, I heard that Conti was going to try to become more mod friendly. Is this actually happening? Or is this going to happen well after I part out my wrx?

subaru in general is trying to promote spt parts by allowing dealers to install them. In the past they would sell you a sti can but not install it. I'm not sure if conti is in on this, but I will find out. The parts list is pretty limited, but their are some nice things. I wouldn't expect them to become mod-friendly in the whole sense though. Warranty restriction is the correct term. :D

I am assuming you can request a technician when you bring your car in for service?

you can request one, but ultimatly it depends on scheduling. I'm pretty sure if you make an appointment it's not a problem though. Getagrip???
