it is reported that Memo Gidley is taking Minassian's seat at Target/ Chip Ganassi Racing. team executives also say that Bruno Junquiera will not be favored over Memo. Memo is finally getting some of the respect that he deserves. He has signed to race with Ganassi for the rest of the season, starting this weekend in Portland.

Whatever man.....I'm glad to see Memo back in the series, but I can't believe Ganassi would just fire Nick Manassian like that. Give the guy a chance at least for the rest of the season. Who knows, maybe once Nick gets the hang of the different courses he'll be another Zanardi (like Alex of the 98-99 seasons!). This just goes to show what a pimp Chip Ganassi is

I hope Manassian gets to sub for somebody later in the season and wins one....probably never see him back in CART again though. He should do well in the IRL if he goes there, he already has a top 5 finish in that series! He could just take the title if he gets a ride. :D

As for Memo, I hope he does well. He didn't do too well in qualifying today though....maybe Chip the pimp should replace him! :D

yeah, Minassian is a good driver, and i too hope that he finds a ride, because i feel that he could do well in IRL or even in CART. it was his first year, and I think that results will come with time. but yeah, Ganassi is a bit of a pimp, i hope he doesnt get rid of Memo anytime soon. Memo was very near the back of the grid in qualifying, so i hope he makes his way up through the pack in the race!!!

I was down at the airport with my race boots on but Chip never rang me back like he promised. :rolleyes:

I would have kicked ass in those conditions. I have plenty of practice of driving a car with more power than grip in the wet in my Westie. :D

In fact i would have kicked ass if i was driving my Westie in that race, those guys need some driving lessons. :D LOL
