im gonna be finishing up my core classes here in a little bit and then im either gonna go into welding or automotive repair for 1 1/2 years.
just wondering which career would be better if i was to move up probly to anchorage.
my gf was born there and i always wanted to live there and she always wanted to move back. plus where i live now it used to be the total sticks now its full of city folk and someone told me i should move into "the valley"

Lots of auto mechanics but you can always weld at the slope or weld construction equipment for the State. Be a welder.

yeah there are lots of both but that's because there is a great need. You'll never be out of work up here, cars are always breaking and people are always building something. Average income of both is high up here too. Good luck welcome to ak.

the valley is a nice area,quiet.couldnt pay me enough to live anywhere else.if you move to anchorage just try and stay away from mountain view and fairview.

now now, fairview is actually coming back up...
And, depending on where you are from, the "bad" areas up here are chump change compared to the bad areas in major cities... That and Anchorage is layed out SOOoooooooo well (dripping with sarcasm) you'll have a million dollar house then a row of trailers, oh, and not to forget the coffe hut...LOL
