We weren't competing this time due to budget restrictions. Foot and Mouth has really screwed our plans up big style. :(

This was the first time we have missed this rally in 9 years. Shame because we always do well here, 1999 was just unreal, us in our home built Sapphire Cosworth GroupA car as it was then, against Brian in his Ex Kankunen WRC Escort. It went down to the last stage, 6 seconds was the winning margin after 55 Stage Miles, great stuff.

At least i got the chance to spectate, havent done that except for the Network Q for years.:)

The fire was caused by the fuel presure regulator return pipe coming off, the only connection on the car not aeroquiped. oops! Expensive lesson learned.

That would be my Impreza Sport 2.0i
I have the scoobysport cibie light conversions and 16" Turbo wheels with SO2 PP's.
Great car, faster than you would think. ;)

See that white paper under the wipers? That's a note from the lord of the manner saying i am parked on his private land, my registration has been forwarded to the police and if they find litter where my car was parked i would be prosecuted. I am stood on the main Highway and there is a fence behind my car where this prats land starts and is fenced off.

This country is so full of ******** who still think they are a higher class than the working man, i envy you in the US, you dont get that arogant bull****.

John -
Actually in the US, you will find just as many folks like this man (if not more), Leaving you such a nice little note is just his way of showing you how much he values his property. I suspect he has had his share of drunken bozos messing up his land, and deeply resents transiants parking on or near his property. At least he didnt vandalize your wheels or anything.

The great advantage of the US (over say the UK) is that so much or our country isn't developed at all, so that you can park where ever & do what ever you want (in certain areas & within reason).

Well at least this prat just left paper, it could be worse.
At one of our rallies we had this wanker who came
out with a shotgun and told us to keep down the noise.
But I don't think he was too happy that a new car
kept showing up every minute and that it quickly
outnumbered him.

Well we also get complaints about transit speeding,
noise in general, lights, etc. The world is full of unhappy
little people who can't imagine anyone else having some
fun.

But we've been spared hoof in mouth so far, thank goodness.
Then again the US is large enough it wouldn't have canceled
everything like it has for you. Hope you get back out
soon!

I am looking into it at the moment Daniel.

I have no idea if i can sort anything with work Visa's etc but i would sure be happy living in the PNW, the place is just stunning.
I have some good friends there too which always helps when your starting somewhere new.

I am sure i would kick ass in a Club Rally car too, which is the first thing i would buy as i stepped off the plane. :D
